Professional Bio

Gwendolyn Brown has served as president of the National Trailer Dealers Association (NTDA) since 2010. Prior to joining the NTDA, she acted as Communications Director for the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) for nearly nine years. Brown has been honored more than a dozen times for her published works and for outstanding advertising, marketing, Web site, and Association management campaigns. Other honors she has received include the prestigious Journalist of the Year Award and the Meeting Planners International President’s Award of Excellence. Brown has also received numerous employment‐related awards for excellent performance/achievement, including but not limited to “Best Director Award” and “Outstanding Team Player.” Brown is a contributing author to several trade industry magazines, including Trailer/Body Builders Magazine. Brown is a certified crisis counselor and has volunteered with suicide prevention organizations and hotlines. She served on the Board of Directors for Emotions Matter, a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2015, with a mission to support, educate and advocate for mental health and recovery. Brown is also an ordained minister.
