Professional Bio

Jeff Evans serves as public policy director for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). In his role as ASAE’s lead lobbyist and advocacy spokesperson, Jeff advocates for the association community and its stakeholders on tax and fiscal policy, workforce development and commerce, among other issues.

Jeff’s steadfast advocacy helped secure $2 billion for associations during the pandemic through expansion of the Paycheck Protection Program. Since 2023, his leadership to build support for priority workforce legislation has increased Congressional cosponsors by more than 11,000% – from one cosponsor to 115 in 10 months. Further, Jeff created, recruited for and actively directs the Tomorrow’s Workforce Coalition, which includes nearly 800 member organizations that collectively advocate for workforce development policies benefiting all industries and professions. Jeff also authored and successfully lobbied for provisions enacted in governmental funding bills, including appropriations for the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

Jeff began his career on Capitol Hill and has worked in the association and nonprofit communities for more than a decade. He has been recognized in recent years with top lobbyist awards by Association TRENDS, the National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics, the Advocacy Association and twice by The Hill. Jeff lives in Arlington, VA, and is proudly married to his wonderful wife, Shelby.
