Change is in the Air
An association executive for whom I had the good fortune to work had a great saying about the rumor mill: A secret is just an announcement that gets shared one person at a time. Touché.
Michigan's association community is particularly close, so the Board of Directors and I have been anxious to share some good news with you: MSAE is returning to a self-staffing model.
For certain, there are still lots of details to be worked out over the next six weeks - team members, address changes, etc., but we wanted you to hear it from us first. When the dust has settled, MSAE will again operate under its own auspices.
On behalf of the Board and membership, I'd like to extend a sincere thank you to those Ngage team members who worked diligently on MSAE's behalf. It's no simple thing to work under the proverbial microscope, serving members who do the same work you do. Thank you and Godspeed.
To our members, we ask for your patience and your help. While every effort is being made to minimize disruption during the transition, there will undoubtedly be hiccups. We appreciate your granting us grace and also letting us know when we fall short of your expectations so we can correct the problem.
Last and most importantly, please know that MSAE needs your help. The Board of Directors and I are eager to stabilize MSAE and build an association that executives, professionals, and our industry partners are excited to be a part of - but we can't do it without your support. If you’ve thought to yourself, “MSAE should really ____________,” or you’re interested in helping shape the association’s future – let us know.
Change is, indeed, in the air. And we invite you to be a part of it.
If you have questions or ideas or want to discuss MSAE, please don't hesitate to contact me at 517-420-7637 or oser@msae.org.
