Professional Bio
Annie Kruise, CMP, graduated from the University of Michigan
in 1994 with a BA in Psychology. She is an Alumna of the
University of Michigan Marching Band. Annie has 25+ years’
experience working in the Hospitality, Meeting/Event and
Association Management Industries. She earned her Certified
Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in January 2004 and
is the current Owner/President of Annie Kruise, LLC, a contract
meeting management company. Her current duties include
event management for 4 Michigan organizations.
Annie has worked for the Ann Arbor Convention & Visitors
Bureau, University of Michigan, and Association Management Resources - a multi-client association
management company - servicing clients in meeting/event and association management needs. She has
taught classes for the Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE) Academy of Association
Management and has been a study group leader for the CMP Test for the Michigan Chapter of MPI
(Meeting Professionals International), as well as a speaker for Meetings in the 517 with Choose Lansing. She continues her education by attending industry events.
Annie has volunteered on membership and conference committees for MSAE where she has been a
member since 1999. Annie has managed conferences ranging in size from 150 to 17,000. She brings a
strong background in meetings management, financial management, membership, and program
planning to all her projects.
Annie is part of a team that won a Diamond Award in 2010 at the 9th Annual Michigan Society of
Association Executives (MSAE) Diamond Awards in the Innovative Collaboration category for Less than
$1 Million budget. The Diamond Awards recognize excellence and innovation in associations.
Annie lives in Milan, Michigan with her husband Maverick and four sons. She enjoys attending University
of Michigan football games, outdoor activities, scrapbooking, and cooking in her spare time.
