The Governance and Structure session explores how organizations develop and maintain effective systems for direction and control.  Typical structures and processes for decision making, accountability, control, and behavior at the top of an entity, will be presented in depth; as well as how governance influences how an organization's objectives are set and achieved, how risk is monitored and addressed, and how performance is optimized.

Learning Objectives

Understand the importance of the following governance components:

  • Major governance legal requirements of not-for-profit organizations
  • Aligning roles, processes and capacity for organization success.
  • Interconnectedness of multiple governance dimensions.
